Serving the Community Since 1836

Adult Ministry Team Leader: Maxine Austen
Welcome!

We are so glad you are interested in the Adult Ministry of First Baptist. Adult Ministry's focus is on teaching , encouraging and strengthening our seniors, young adults and family units. When we know God's word we are prepared for spiritual battle and can stand strong against life's trials.

We believe by strengthening our relationships and living a life of authenticity we bring glory to God.Whether you are facing  loneliness, divorce, addiction or peer pressure God's word has the answer. It is in prayer we can repent, and are sanctified. It is in prayer we come before the throne of God and praise him, giving thanks in all things and in supplication.

All these areas are addressed in our Sunday school and midweek bible studies. Open and available to all people 19 years old and over. It is our prayer that through teaching this we will learn to live an authentic Christian life and grow in unity. Our goal is to prepare our congregation to go out seeking the lost, lonely, poor and orphaned. To reach out to them in humility, showing them the love of Christ and bringing  them to a knowing and loving relationship with Him.

Do you long to have the strength to endure in these difficult times? If you long to fill the void and emptiness in your life, and find hope and peace that the world cannot give won't you please join us at First Baptist in Fellowship, in prayer, in worship or in study.
Together we can be the salt and light the world so needs.
